He said that traditional commercial pet foods known as pellets are not very healthy for pets and can be made with questionable ingredients that are crushed and dried.

“Some of these companies are using our pets as mini recycling centers for things that are not intended for humans or are not fit for human consumption,” Wald said.

He said JustFoodForDogs conducted a study that determined that dogs who eat their food have healthier immune systems than dogs who eat dry food.

research, According to Wald, they have shown that JustFoodForDogs is more digestible than traditional pellets and offers many health benefits to dogs. He said that dogs consuming JustFoodForDogs also suffer from fewer allergies and stomach problems, which leads to animals being happier and living longer.

He said the company is looking to increase the lifespan of pets.

“I just want people to have as many memories of their pets as possible,” said Wald, who grew up in Manhattan.

“I remember we had a collie as a kid and I just look back and appreciate every day of his 14 years that I spent with him. I just want to bring that joy to other people as well.”
